Shield Nickel overdate, FS-303 (old FS-013.2). Certified by NGC as
"AU Details", noted as improperly cleaned - in my opinion the details
are equivalent to an AU-53 to 55 coin. If this was in fact cleaned it is
not terribly obvious and the color looks decent overall; I can say that I have
seen FAR worse in "normal" holders. Given the general abuse
these coins suffered from the general public who hoarded Shield Nickels in 1884
and beyond after the series was replaced, the minor scuffs and hairlines may
simply be from mishandling. Greysheet
