The Best Tripled Die Obverse

While there are many doubled die obverses in the shield nickel series, there are but three tripled die obverses. (It makes sense that there would be three triplets, does it not?) The most obvious of the three is this 1876 . The coin is very well known, fairly easily obtainable, and noted in Breen as BR2507. |

This is the only time in the Top 20 when I have awarded a tie for runner up. I just can't see a way to pick between the 1868 TDO and the 1872 TDO. This is the 1868 TDO. Not nearly as available as the 1876, and not nearly as well known. Has the scarcer reverse of '68. |
